Las Vegas scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Del Sol Dragons. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Despite the loss, Las Vegas still got an impressive performance from Sariyah Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 29 rebounds. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Anika Powell, who went 6 of 10 en route to 14 points and six rebounds.

It was another big night for Ricana Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 18 rebounds for Del Sol. With that strong performance, Taylor is now averaging an impressive 8.8 boards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Sabrina Stewart, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Las Vegas' loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Del Sol, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Las Vegas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 53-45 defeat against Durango on the 27th. As for Del Sol, they will be taking part in a tournament against Western at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday. Del Sol knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Western likes a good challenge.
