Notus extended their losing streak to 11 on Wednesday, dropping them down to 1-13. They came up short against the Glenns Ferry Pilots, falling 24-9. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pilots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 on Wednesday.
Notus saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raven Platt, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
As for Glenns Ferry, they pushed their record up to 12-6-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The result was nothing new for the Pilots, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
On Glenns Ferry's side, Charlee Stewart and Peyton Stewart made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Stewart tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Peyton struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since April 1st. At the plate, Stewart got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI, while Peyton got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Peyton is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
In other batting news, Sahira Arevalo was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 13 games. Lucy Thomas was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI.
Looking ahead, Notus will take on Idaho City at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Glenns Ferry, they will face off against Horseshoe Bend at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pilots will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
