The Octorara Area Braves''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 41-6 loss at the hands of Wyomissing. While losing is never fun, Octorara Area can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 401st, while Wyomissing is ranked 82nd).
Octorara Area's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.5 points per game. As for Wyomissing, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.
Octorara Area will be playing in front of their home fans against Donegal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wyomissing, they will head out on the road to face off against Lampeter-Strasburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lampeter-Strasburg is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
