Cape Hatteras is 9-1 against Mattamuskeet since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Cape Hatteras will square off against Mattamuskeet at 5:00 p.m. Cape Hatteras is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Cape Hatteras is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs last Thursday, they were much more limited against Hobgood Charter on Tuesday. They fell 7-2 to the Raiders.

Cape Hatteras saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaylan Jackson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Mackenzy O'Neal also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Mattamuskeet played against Bear Grass Charter on Friday and lost via forfeit.

Cape Hatteras has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. Mattamuskeet is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Everything went Cape Hatteras' way against Mattamuskeet in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Cape Hatteras made off with a 21-6 win. Does Cape Hatteras have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mattamuskeet turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
