Hammond Morton came out on top against Whiting on Thursday thanks in part to Jake Rodriguez's efforts. Rodriguez was unstoppable, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Hammond Morton's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 4-10 when he doesn't).

Coming up, Rodriguez and Hammond Morton will challenge Hebron at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are at an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long.
