Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Ida Baker Bulldogs walked away with it. They breezed by the Red Knights at home to the tune of 72-39 on Wednesday. Ida Baker's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Several Red Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bianca Iten, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Erickson, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Ida Baker is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for North Fort Myers, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12.
Ida Baker will take on Charlotte at TBD on Friday. Charlotte is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. North Fort Myers does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
