Philomath was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Sweet Home on Thursday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Huskies. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.
Hailey Smith made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. In other batting news, Philomath let Libby Kramer and Kaylie Kohler run wild.
