Softball Recap: Xavier Has No Trouble Against New London

Xavier hadn't done well against New London recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Hawks walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Bulldogs. That four run margin sets a new team best for the Hawks this season.

The team relied heavily on Kalia Stammer, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Mary Kendall, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

The win got Xavier back to even at 4-4. As for New London, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Xavier will welcome Fox Valley Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for New London, they will head out to challenge Clintonville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
