Mitchell has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brookings Bobcats on Saturday. Mitchell were not able to make up for their loss to Brookings from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Mitchell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4-1. As for Brookings, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mitchell is set to face off against their familiar foe Groton at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Brookings will challenge rival Yankton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
