They took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Appalachian on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Victory Christian of the 64-33 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.
Victory Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Haley Hendrix and Amelia Haney. Hendrix dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds, while Haney scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Hendrix hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games.
Victory Christian's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Appalachian, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-9.
Victory Christian will head out on the road to face off against Faith Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Faith Christian has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5. As for Appalachian, they will take on Pennington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
