The Master's Academy lost against Lake Lure Classical Academy last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Tuesday. The Master's Academy Lions fell just short of the Lake Lure Classical Academy Raptors by a score of  3-2.
 The Master's Academy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 21-25, 17-25, 25-20,  15-6.
 Despite the loss, The Master's Academy still got an impressive performance from   Madison Gouge, who  had six  kills and five  aces. That's the most  aces  Gouge has posted since back in October of 2023.
 Even though they lost, The Master's Academy  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 14  aces. That's the most  aces they've managed all season.
 Lake Lure Classical Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Finny White, who  had seven  aces, a  kill, and a  block. With that strong performance,  White is now averaging an impressive 2.1  aces per game. The team also got some help courtesy of  Yzzy Staley, who  had six  kills and five  aces.
 The Master's Academy dropped their record down to 1-8 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  at home. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record  this season.
 The Master's Academy will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Veritas Christian Academy at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. The last three games The Master's Academy has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, they will host Community Christian Academy  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both  are at an even 4-4 against one another  since September of 2015, but likely not for long.
