Imagine Prep is 6-0 against West Phoenix since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Imagine Prep Storm will be playing in front of their home fans against the West Phoenix Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Hopefully Imagine Prep is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Phoenix in Arizona (Imagine Prep is ranked 97th, while West Phoenix is ranked 212th).
Last Friday, Imagine Prep had to suffer through a rough 68-29 loss at the hands of Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way. Imagine Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-18.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Bella Ernsberger, who scored six points along with 11 blocks and five rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Berkeley Lowden was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, West Phoenix had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 38-26 win over Glenview College Prep back in December of 2023. The win was just what West Phoenix needed coming off of a 70-7 defeat in their prior contest.
Imagine Prep's loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3. As for West Phoenix, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.
Everything came up roses for Imagine Prep against West Phoenix in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 46-13 win. With Imagine Prep ahead 28-4 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
