Volleyball Recap: Texas Starts Season with Win on the Road

Texas had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Atlanta Rabbits on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Rabbits recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-16, 25-11.

Kyleigh Perkins paced Texas' offense, picking up ten kills. Perkins really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 15. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Taryne Stiger, racking up six apiece.

Texas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Killeen on the 14th. As for Atlanta, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Pewitt on the 14th.
