Achievement First kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a rough 81-28 loss at the hands of Windsor Locks.
Windsor Locks was led to victory by Kyle Hinckley and Sincere Monroe. Hinckley dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Monroe scored 28 points along with nine assists and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Grasso, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Achievement First bumped their record down to 0-1 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Windsor Locks, the victory (which was their fifth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 1-0.
Achievement First will head out on the road to face off against Classical Magnet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Windsor Locks will be home for the holidays to greet Rockville at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Rockville and Windsor Locks are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
