The Hutto Hippos will head out on the road to face off against the Stony Point Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hutto will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Hutto will bounce into Friday's game after beating Round Rock, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Hippos sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 33-31 victory over the Dragons on Friday.

Hutto's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaden Stefek, who threw for 276 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 39 yards and one score. Jaiden Fields was in the mix as well, providing the Hippos with three TDs.
Hutto's run defense was locked in: Round Rock could only muster 3.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Brayden Daniel for the heroic effort on defense: he. The dominant display was nothing new: Hutto has now limited their opponent to fewer and fewer yards per carry in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stony Point). They breezed past Manor to the tune of 49-14 on Friday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.
Stony Point's win came from a few key players Hutto will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Trystin Rimes, who picked up 101 receiving yards and three touchdowns. That's the most receiving touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Troyer, who threw for 203 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes.
Stony Point's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-4. As for Hutto, their record now sits at 5-1.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Hutto has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 383.8 total yards per game. However, it's not like Stony Point struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 414 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Hutto strolled past Stony Point in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 35-21. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Tigers' Andrew Gomez, who picked up 201 receiving yards and three scores. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Hippos to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
