Volleyball Recap: Shiloh Christian Takes a Loss

Shiloh Christian dropped down to 17-11-1 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Benton Panthers by a score of 2-1. If the Saints were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Panthers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Chloe Blessing paced Shiloh Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. Blessing got some help from Kennedy Brown and her 14 assists. Lily Cox controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

As for Benton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 18th.

Benton was led to victory by Rylynn Poor and Lexi Eidt. Poor had 12 digs and three aces, while Eidt had nine assists and two aces. What's more, Poor posted three assists, the most she's had over her last five matchups.

Shiloh Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Bentonville West on the 13th. As for Benton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Lake Hamilton on the 14th.
