Summit Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alana Rivers, who posted 11 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Amerie Santana was another key player, going 5-for-12 on her way to 12 points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Summit Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Inwood Academy has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 23.33 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit back in February. They received a blow as they fell 60-42 to Hunter College.

Summit Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.3 points on average over those games. Inwood Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3.
