The Biggs Wolverines will be playing in front of their home fans against the Modoc Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Modoc took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Biggs, who comes in off a win.
Biggs can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 51-0 win over Mt. Shasta. The win made it back-to-back wins for Biggs.
Davis Long was his usual excellent self, rushing for 286 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Long was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Smith, who rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Meanwhile, Modoc came up short against Fall River on Friday and fell 28-20. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Modoc in their matchups with Fall River: they've now lost eight in a row.
Modoc's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Lewis Crumwell, who rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and Jordan Maddox who picked up 59 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Biggs is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Modoc, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Everything came up roses for Biggs against Modoc when the teams last played back in November of 2019 as the squad secured a 47-12 victory. Will Biggs repeat their success, or does Modoc have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
