Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Christian Home Educators' good fortune finally ran out last Friday. They took a 45-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mercy School Institute. While losing is never fun, Christian Home Educators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 1479th in Texas, while Mercy School Institute is ranked 294th in Oklahoma).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Caleb Snyder, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Koster, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Winston now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Christian Home Educators, their loss dropped their record down to 19-16.
