Stuart W. Cramer was handed a 29-point defeat in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against the Wildcats on Tuesday. Stuart W. Cramer narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Wildcats 57-54. The win was just what Stuart W. Cramer needed coming off of a 68-39 loss in their prior contest.
Amari Littlejohn and DJ Cross were among the main playmakers for Stuart W. Cramer as the former dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Littlejohn pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Makhi Brown, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, South Point scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Forestview 92-59 at home. With South Point ahead 56-32 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
South Point found their leader in underclassman Dylan Bradley, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Greyson Kines was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists and three steals.
Stuart W. Cramer's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13. As for South Point, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Taelan Whitley and Graham Williams. Whitley has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 7.9 points, 3.2 blocks, and 7.7 rebounds. For his part, Williams has averaged 15.4 points, 1.4 blocks, and 10.2 rebounds.
Stuart W. Cramer lost to the Red Raiders on the road by a decisive 66-49 margin when the teams last played back in January. Can Stuart W. Cramer avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
