Erika Fiege was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. In other batting news, Midlothian got a massive performance out of Lea Foldenauer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was Foldenauer's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Bella Mousa, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Olivia Kelly was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Paige Marshall was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

It's a different story for Clover Hill, though, as they've been averaging only 4.2 strikeouts. Will Midlothian keep running through batters, or will the Cavaliers buck the trend?
Midlothian beat Clover Hill 7-3 when the teams last played last Wednesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
