The Hudson Bluehawks will take on the Chatham Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Chatham took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Hudson, who comes in off a win.
Hudson's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Watervliet as they made off with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bluehawks, who have now won five contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Ryan Conte was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. He has become a key player for Hudson: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-3 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gannon Logue, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Hudson is undefeated when Logue posts three or more RBI, but 2-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Conte, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Chatham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Taconic Hills. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since May 26, 2025.
Like Hudson, Chatham also got a great game from a two-way player: Brayden Steltz. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. That's the fewest hits Steltz has allowed since April 1st. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Cooper Steltz and Owen Wilber stepped up to the plate in a big way. Steltz went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double, while Wilber went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Wilber has launched this season.
Hudson now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Chatham, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Hudson might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from Chatham in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Will the Bluehawks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
