The Columbia Eagles stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 67-5 win over Towers. Winning may never get old, but Columbia sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Leading Columbia to victory were Aalon Turner and Nia Anderson. Turner scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and six steals, while Anderson scored 24 points along with six steals. Turner hasn't dropped below two steals for 15 straight games. Kerserlin Anderson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven steals and six assists.
Columbia pushed their record up to 14-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Towers, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbia will take on McNair at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. McNair will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Columbia is ranked 169th). As for Towers, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Redan at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Redan is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
