The Gresham Gophers will be taking part in a tournament against the Corvallis Spartans at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Corvallis took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Gresham, who comes in off a win.
Gresham picked up another tournament win on Monday. They blew past Ida B. Wells 18-1.
Despina Seufalemua made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Seufalemua was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddy Sagapolutele, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Rylee Gaffeny was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
Meanwhile, Corvallis came up short against Grant on Monday, falling 16-6. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Parker Doerr was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Richardson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Even though they lost, Corvallis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Corvallis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Gresham, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
