The Orland Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 21 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Anderson on Friday as Orland made off with a 51-30 victory. The victory was familiar territory for Orland who now have three in a row.
Orland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Thompson out in front who scored 15 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Thompson scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Story, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
Orland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Anderson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orland will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against American at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Anderson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mt. Shasta at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
