The Adirondack Wildcats lost against the Mt. Markham Mustangs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Adirondack fell 52-45 to Mt. Markham. Adirondack has not had much luck with Mt. Markham recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Adirondack's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Juliana McGrady, who scored 14 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds. McGrady scored a full 31.1% of Adirondack's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Raquel Paschke, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals.
Adirondack's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Mt. Markham, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Adirondack will take on Little Falls at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Markham will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sherburne-Earlville at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
