Basketball Recap: Caden Jackson Key Part of a Team Effort in Titans Win

Olympus won the last time they faced West and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Olympus Titans were the clear victor by a 77-51 margin over the West Panthers. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Olympus' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caden Jackson led the charge by going 6 for 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 21 points and seven assists. That's the most points Jackson has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Lowe, who went 6 of 14 en route to 23 points in addition to seven assists and six boards.

Jackson wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Olympus was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West only racked up nine assists.

Loss or not, West got some senior leadership from Saladi Maluak and Phillip Ladua. Maluak went 5 for 7 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds, while Ladua went 8 of 17 en route to 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for Maluak. Chachi Pan was another key player, putting up four points.

Olympus pushed their record up to 17-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for West, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

When Olympus and West next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Olympus will try to stop Highland's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Olympus is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.5 points per game this season. Meanwhile, West will square off against Brighton and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
