Even though Advanced Tech Academy scored an imposing 67 points on Tuesday, Trillium Academy still came out on top. Trillium Academy walked away with a 76-67 win over Advanced Tech Academy. Given Trillium Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while Advanced Tech Academy is ranked 343rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sharone Russ continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 41 points along with six rebounds and six steals. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Stephon Twitty was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Center Line Prep had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past Taylor Prep, posting a 73-40 victory on the road. Center Line Prep's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Trillium Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Center Line Prep, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
