The Mt. Rainier Rams suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They were dealt a 72-28 loss at the hands of Tahoma. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mt. Rainier has scored all season.
Mt. Rainier lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zach Luz, who scored six points along with ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Wesley Armstrong, who scored four points.
Even though they lost, Mt. Rainier smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Adam Davis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tahoma, scoring 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Stonerock, who scored 11 points.
Mt. Rainier's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Tahoma, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Mt. Rainier will take on Kamiak at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Kamiak is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Tahoma, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Olympia at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
