Somerset Berkley Regional was handed a heart-breaking two-run  defeat in their last  match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Dartmouth  on Friday. The Raiders put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp  8-1 win. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by six  runs or more this season.
 Kyle Sherman Jr. was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned run any time he's  pitched this season. He was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-4. Those  two  runs gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Jayden Cruz was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alex Crook, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
Somerset Berkley Regional's record now sits at 3-1. As for Dartmouth, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Looking ahead, Somerset Berkley Regional will head out to  face off against Greater New Bedford RVT  at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. As for Dartmouth, they will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against New Bedford  at 4:00  p.m.
