Compass Academy took a 46-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kermit. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Compass Academy in their matchups with Kermit: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Compass Academy still got an impressive performance from Lindsey Ruiz, who scored 12 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ruiz has scored all season.
Even though they lost, Compass Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. This was only their tenth loss (out of 12 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Ebbin Mallory continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Kermit, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds. MICHAELA CAZARIN was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Compass Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Kermit, their victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-12.
Compass Academy will take on Alpine at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Alpine is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. As for Kermit, they will head out on the road to challenge Crane at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Crane will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
