Baseball Recap: LBJ Austin Comes Up Short

LBJ Austin lost against Manor New Tech on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The LBJ Austin Jaguars lost 28-3 to Manor New Tech. The Jaguars just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Jacovy Smith-Poole made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

LBJ Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Manor New Tech, they pushed their record up to 7-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LBJ Austin will take on Lago Vista at 7:30 p.m. on March 25th. As for Manor New Tech, they will challenge Northeast Early College at 7:30 p.m. on March 25th.
