Three Lakes/Phelps lost to Crandon the last time the two teams met, but they didn't allow Crandon the same satisfaction this time around. Three Lakes/Phelps took the matchup and then some with a 40-0 victory on Friday over Crandon. Three Lakes/Phelps were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
The win bumped Three Lakes/Phelps' record up to 5-3. Crandon are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-8.
Next week Three Lakes/Phelps take on Northland Pines at 7:00 PM. Three Lakes/Phelps will be strutting in after a victory while Northland Pines will be stumbling in from a loss. As for Crandon, they will face off against Elcho/White Lake. Elcho/White Lake are limping into the game on a six-game losing streak.
