The Horizon Huskies's four-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 51-34 victory over Maricopa. The win was just what Horizon needed coming off of a 80-51 loss in their prior match.
Horizon found their leader in underclassman Ethan Hayes, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. Hayes also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Craig Rodgers was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Horizon's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Maricopa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Horizon will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mountain Pointe at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
