St. John's Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-8.
Pinewood Prep found their leader in underclassman Jonathan Slawson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten assists. Those ten assists set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jayden Alexander, who scored nine points.
St. John's Christian Academy's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-9. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Pinewood Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.
St. John's Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Calhoun Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pinewood Prep, they will be playing at home against First Baptist School at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
