The Clinton Red Devils will venture away from home to face off against the High Point Academy Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Clinton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.5 points per game this season.
Clinton took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They managed a 54-49 victory over Saluda.

Tushawan Richardson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 24 points. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. Devin Swindler was another key player, posting eight points.
Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, High Point Academy rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Golden Rams with a sharp 68-45 win. The Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matchups by 20 points or more this season.
High Point Academy's win came from a few key players Clinton will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was J'Sean Sanders, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 13 points and five boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaden McNeil, who posted 11 points and three blocks.
The victory was the fourth in a row for High Point Academy, bringing their record for this year to 24-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.5 points over those games. As for Clinton, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Clinton and High Point Academy are some of the highest-scoring teams around. Clinton hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 55.5 points per game. However, it's not like High Point Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 62.6 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
Clinton came up short against High Point Academy in their previous matchup back in January, falling 68-64. Can Clinton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
