The Williston Red Devils lost against the Bradford Tornadoes back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Williston fell just short of Bradford by a score of 55-52. Williston has not had much luck with Bradford recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Williston saw an underclassman step up: Kaelynn Brown dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. The game was Brown's third in a row with at least ten points. Janiyah Span was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Williston struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Williston now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Bradford, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.
Williston won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Keystone Heights at 1:30 p.m. on December 28th. Keystone Heights has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30. Bradford won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tocoi Creek at 5:00 p.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Tocoi Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Wednesday.
