After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three games, the Kennedy Eagles finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They were beaten by Miramonte 88-24. Kennedy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-10.
Kennedy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Darion Adams, who scored 7 points. Jayson Scarbrough was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Miramonte got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chris Kaufhold out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Marcus Robinson, who scored 20 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Miramonte, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
The Eagles will be playing at home against the Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Miramonte, they will head out on the road to face off against California at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
