Prairie View is on an eight-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Boulder is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Thunderhawks will host the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Prairie View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Prairie View made easy work of Westminster and carried off a 7-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Thunderhawks in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won seven in a row.

Preston Miller and Giovanni Tarin made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Miller tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Tarin tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Miller has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Miller went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Tarin earned one run and two stolen bases. Those two runs gave Miller a new career-high.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jerry Stone, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Jael Peralta also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Boulder had just enough and edged out Northglenn 8-7 on Tuesday.
Finn Torvik was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three doubles. He also scored two runs, which is notable because Boulder is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Gavin Nguyen, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Boulder is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Prairie View, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.
Prairie View took their win against Boulder when the teams last played on April 8th by a conclusive 15-4 score. Will the Thunderhawks repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
