Softball Recap: Lake Hamilton Starts Season with Victory at Home

Lake Hamilton took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. Everything went their way against the Nashville Scrappers as the Lake Hamilton Wolves made off with a 16-6 win. This was payback for the Wolves, who suffered a 12-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Ella Wilcox and Mikaela Miller did most of the damage at the plate: Wilcox went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, one run, and one double, while Miller scored three runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Lana-Mae Stevenson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Hamilton will face off against Pine Bluff at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Lake Hamilton's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Nashville, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Dierks at 5:30 p.m.
