Volleyball Recap: Timber Creek Takes a Loss

Timber Creek's tournament run continued when they took on West Plains on Thursday. The Falcons fell 2-0 to the Wolves. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Timber Creek ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Timber Creek saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addison Wilcox had 16 digs and one assist. Wilcox is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season.

West Plains was led to victory by CC Murillo and Idaly Sotelo. Murillo had three digs and two aces, while Sotelo had nine digs and one assist. That's the most aces Murillo has posted since back in October of 2024.

Timber Creek now has a losing record of 1-2. As for West Plains, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Timber Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Midland Legacy on the 14th. As for West Plains, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Waxahachie on the 14th.
