Marion extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 17-6 in the process. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Carmi-White County Bulldogs. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for Carmi-White County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Carmi-White County's part, Alayna Johnson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Coming up, Marion will head out on the road to challenge Centralia at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carmi-White County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hamilton County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
