In what's become a running theme this season, the Carmel Padres gave their fans yet another huge  win on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Everett Alvarez with a sharp  71-47 win. The  game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  44-23.
  Simeon Brown was  his usual excellent self,  scoring 23 points along with six  steals and five  assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  he has scored all season.  Hudson Rutherford was another key contributor,  scoring 15 points along with three  steals.
 Carmel has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won ten of their last 11 matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. As for Everett Alvarez, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carmel will take on Oakwood at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Oakwood will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 708th, while Carmel is ranked 129th). As for Everett Alvarez, they the luxury  of staying home another  game and will welcome Palma at 7:00  p.m.  on January 29th.
