The Fletcher Falcons will head out on the road to take on Providence Classical at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Fletcher comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Thursday, Fletcher had to suffer through a rough 58-11 loss at the hands of Walnut Grove Christian. Fletcher was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-6.
Meanwhile, Providence Classical scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Carolina Christian 76-47 on the road. Providence Classical has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 28 points or more this season.
Isaac Martin and Xan Rahalawicz were among the main playmakers for Providence Classical as the former dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds and the latter dropped a triple-double on 27 points, 11 assists, and ten steals. That's the first time this season that Rahalawicz posted eight or more assists. Collin Davis was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Fletcher's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for Providence Classical, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-5.
Fletcher took a serious blow against Providence Classical in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 63-30. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Fletcher was down 37-15.
