The Page Sand Devils will take on the El Capitan Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Ten must be Page's lucky number: they beat Window Rock with that score not once but twice on Monday. The Sand Devils came out on top against the Fighting Scouts by a score of 10-5. The Sand Devils haven't had any issues with the Fighting Scouts recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Wyatt Tallman tossed a big game, tossing 4.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits.

At the plate, Kevin Sam was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Shaine Begay, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Page was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, El Capitan waltzed into their contest two weeks ago with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Fighting Scouts. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Aryck Hammon and Kendall Hammon were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Hammon didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Kendall struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Hammon scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances, while Kendall scored three runs and stole four bases while going 4-for-4. Kendall has become a key player for El Capitan: the team is 8-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brayden Hammon, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jairus Hammon, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
Page pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for El Capitan, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Page has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like El Capitan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
