Given Bethesda-Chevy Chase's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Churchill is ranked 179th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Frances Doyle continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. She set a new season high mark in steals with five. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Tercyak, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Bethesda-Chevy Chase's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.1 points. As for Churchill, they have fallen quite a ways from their 21-4 record last season and are now at 2-5.
Bethesda-Chevy Chase will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Einstein at 7:15 p.m. Einstein is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Churchill, they will head out on the road to face off against Walter Johnson at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
