Carthage is 0-8 against Nixa since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Carthage Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Nixa Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Carthage beat Carl Junction 59-50. The win made it back-to-back wins for Carthage.
Meanwhile, Nixa entered their tilt with Republic with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Nixa walked away with a 57-46 win over Republic on Tuesday.
Carthage is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Nixa, they pushed their record up to 15-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Carthage couldn't quite finish off Nixa in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 and fell 66-64. Can Carthage avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
