Parkville is 0-8 against New Town since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Parkville Knights will look to defend their home court against New Town at 5:30 p.m. Parkville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Wednesday, Parkville was beaten by Loch Raven 62-27. While losing is never fun, Parkville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Loch Raven is ranked 72nd).
Meanwhile, New Town unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against Pikesville, falling 73-45. New Town has not had much luck with Pikesville recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Parkville has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for New Town, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-4.
Parkville took a serious blow against New Town in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 60-19. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Parkville was down 38-11.
