Two dominant guards in Jared Marquicias and Josh Collins are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Wooster Colts will be playing in front of their home fans against the North Valleys Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nevada (Wooster is ranked 50th, while North Valleys is ranked 70th).
Last Wednesday, Wooster strolled past Sparks with points to spare, taking the game 65-49. Wooster pushed the score to 52-31 by the end of the third, a deficit Sparks cut but never quite recovered from.
Marquicias continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Brandon Rodriguez Reynoso was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, North Valleys took a serious blow against Hug on Wednesday, falling 84-48.
Wooster has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for North Valleys, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Wooster strolled past North Valleys when the teams last played back in January by a score of 65-49. Will Wooster repeat their success, or does North Valleys have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
