The Promise Academy II Titans lost against the Broome Street Academy Warriors back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Promise Academy II took a 62-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Broome Street Academy.
Broome Street Academy had a senior duo take command as Andre Wright scored 24 points along with three steals and Samuel Acevedo scored 16 points along with six steals. Acevedo is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Demitrius Gould, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Promise Academy II's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Broome Street Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Promise Academy II will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Capital Prep Harbor at 5:15 p.m. on February 15th. Broome Street Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Knox at 2:00 p.m. on January 13th.
